WHAT IS IMU+®?
A novel protection technology with broad and long-lasting antiviral and antibacterial properties for materials. This technology (patented) embeds an organic-based antimicrobial agent during the manufacturing processes, which develops positively charged layers inside-out; it is not a coating or metal-based.
Once bacteria or viruses come into contact with the surface of the IMU+ embedded material, their cell walls or envelopes are physically ruptured instantly. It can kill 99.99% of surface pathogens. Even if the material surface is worn off, the subsequent layers’ antimicrobial agents maintain our product’s antiviral and antibacterial functions over 3 years.
