What is IMU+®?

IMU+® is a novel protection technology developed with broad and long-lasting self-disinfecting antimicrobial properties for materials. This technology (patent pending) embeds antimicrobial agents during manufacturing, which develop positively charged layers inside out.

The positively charged ions disrupt the envelopes of pathogens, exposing their DNA/RNA and effectively killing them. When bacteria or viruses come into contact with the surface of the IMU+® material, their cell walls or envelopes are instantly ruptured.

Even if the material surface is worn off, the subsequent layers’ antimicrobial agents maintain our products’ antiviral and antibacterial functions.
