Chief Executive of HKSAR John Lee Ka-chiu conducted his first walkabout session, visiting the Anti-COVID technology application in Sham Shui Po’s three-nil buildings

With the donation support of Lam Kwun King Memorial Foundation, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s world’s first anti-COVID technology is now applied in over 100 three-nil buildings in Sham Shui Po district.

Chief Executive of HKSAR – Mr. John LEE was impressed with how the technology could be applied on different environments to slow down the pandemic. Mr. LEE also commented that PolyU’s antiviral 3D printing technology should be heavily promoted to benefit the public. Thus more Hong Kong citizens can take advantage of it since the effectiveness of our products is good for 3 years.

The 3-Nil project was led by PolyU Dr. Chris Lo, Home Affairs Department, Hong Kong Government and sponsored by Lam Kwun King Memorial Fund. The next phase of installations will involve secondary schools students from Sham Shui Po district. The project goal is to engage the next generations of Hong Kong to serve the underprivileged communities with creativity and technology.
